It's an Open and Shut Argument

It's the battle between two hip, smart and innovative technology companies: Google and Apple. Google is open, flexible and free; Apple is closed, tightly controlled and expensive. What happens when they clash, and which philosophy will win out in the long run?

Google has released an open-source version of "Closure", a collection of software tools they used to build Gmail, Google Docs and Google Maps, in the hope that it will enable external developers to create faster web-applications.
